“We were ready for June 15. And then this happened.”

NEET PG 2025 Postponed — What You Need to Know

You know that feeling?
You’ve been prepping for months, tweaking your revision plan, managing sleep, caffeine, anxiety — and then boom, the exam date just disappears. That’s where NEET PG 2025 aspirants are right now.

Yes, it’s official — the exam that was supposed to happen on June 15 has been postponed until further notice.

No, they haven’t given us the new date yet.
Yes, everyone’s asking the same question: “Now what?”

So what actually happened?

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) had everything locked in for June 15. Students were waiting for their city slips, admit cards, etc. And then came the curveball — a Supreme Court directive saying the exam must be conducted in a single shift.

Why does that matter? Because this exam isn’t your average Sunday morning MCQ fest. It involves thousands of students, and a single-shift means way more test centres, more logistics, and probably a lot of re-coordination.

So now, the board is trying to figure all that out. Until then? We wait.

What this means for students

Let’s not sugarcoat it — this is mentally exhausting. You study for weeks with a specific date in mind. You plan your revision, your mock tests, even your daily diet around it. Then suddenly, the goalpost moves. Again.

But also — and I hate saying this because it's so cliché — this could be a chance.
More days = more revision. More time to plug weak areas.
You can hate it, but you can also use it. Your call.

What about city slips, admit cards, and all that?

They were supposed to release the city intimation slips on June 2 — but obviously, that didn’t happen. Now everything — slips, admit cards, exam date — will be rescheduled. NBEMS has said they’ll announce new dates soon, but “soon” is doing a lot of heavy lifting right now.

Keep checking the official site. Ignore WhatsApp forwards. Don’t fall for rumors like “exam is next Sunday” or “it’s cancelled” — unless it comes from the board, it’s not real.

A quick reminder of what NEET PG even is

For anyone who’s lost track in the chaos: NEET PG is the national-level exam you need to crack if you’re aiming for MD, MS, or PG Diploma courses. It’s not optional. It’s not flexible. It’s your entry ticket to postgrad medical education in India.

After the exam, there’s counselling — 50% seats go into the All India Quota, managed by MCC, and the rest are filled via state counselling.

Final thoughts: This sucks. But it's not the end.

You’re allowed to be annoyed. You’re allowed to feel burnt out.
But don’t switch off. Not yet.

Use this window — however long it is — to go back over topics you skimmed.
Work on mocks. Reset your brain. Get some rest if you need it.
This delay isn’t a derailment unless you let it be one.

And above all — stay updated, stay calm, and don’t let frustration be louder than your focus.
